This is to prepare businesses for when apple rolls out ads within maps right?
Cynical me assumes most “business oriented” apple features today are in prep for their ramp-up of ads across the OS. You couldn’t sell a Maps ad that pointed to (1)only a website and took you out of maps or (2) the default auto-generated page from yelp.
- bognition 4y agoIt could be for ads, or it could be that accurate business information is critical to drive usage. Right now Apple Maps pulls from Yelp which makes it almost a non starter for me. I hate Yelp as the data is inaccurate and hostile towards businesses.
