US+JP security 2+2 about to kickoff, this is saying, look JP, if you grant us more access + build harden shelters, host marine MLR in Okinawa, we can definitely super deter PRC from invading TW and maintain regional stability (US led order). Don't think of the altnerative of, you know, JP islands (not just Okinawa) being turned into a giant PRC missile sink and open up country to potential massive PRC retaliation, for which PRC holds historic grudge, like destroying energy terminals or other existential infra that makes sustaining developed civilization on island with huge import dependency possible.
