It's actually surprising how little ambitious career women in Silicon Valley exploit their attractiveness with old rich men on the border of senility as investors rather than as husbands.

- Spooky23 4y agoWho says they don’t? While I don’t work in Silicon Valley, I’ve probably been acquainted with a half dozen scenarios where women engineered an improbable career path in this way. Either sexually or in a foster daughter type role. Holmes was an obviously flawed personality good at playing games. She was Steve Jobs 2.0 during the rise, but was able to conveniently paint herself as this pathetic figure worthy of pity when the time for sentencing came around.
- squokko 4y agoI just think there is a market-clearing price for more Elizabeth Holmeses but played slightly differently so they don't go to jail.
