Indeed, what a fantastic story and read, thanks for sharing. I can barely bring myself to drive to NM or big bend from Austin, and here you were going to cross the state on horseback, and then some. I'll bookmark this for when I lack motivation
- doodlebugging 4y agoThat was the second part of my youthful adventures in 1980. It was our second attempt at making the run. The first one was probably an equally epic, though just as poorly planned and executed adventure where we ultimately learned a little about how to prepare for the next attempt. Just a little in the truest sense of the phrase.
