Yes, even the little CGI model of your car in the UI even shows your brake lights illuminate. AFAIK the the CGI representation of the car accurately shows tire position, blinkers, headlights, doors, etc. In comparison, my 2015 Leaf doesn't illuminate the brake lights during regen but it's regen is significantly less than my Model 3.
