The plot of the movie is that a human wants to kill the Avatar who killed him in the first movie. Except dead-human got reanimated as an Avatar creature. That's the first 5 minutes so it's not really a spoiler. There are other humans, but they're just assistants to the revenge-fest. The main driver of the plot is revenge, the 'we want resources from planet Avatar' isn't a main plot point, or at least it's not what the story is about - it's about one man/Avatar's bloodlust against another Avatar (and kill anyone who gets in the way Rambo style)
