Not related to this topic, but I am curious how the situation looks like in IT industry. Say a company without any "real problems" ask for "advice" 180 IT agencies. My guess that situation will be much worse.

- crummy 4y agoWe asked 180 developers if we should rewrite our tech stack in Rust.
- sgt 4y agoWe asked 180 developers if the existing solution should be rewritten in Rust from PHP, despite working like a charm.

- dainiusse 4y agoOh yes! For bureaucratic reasons we were forced to get external consultancy to evaluate code... Everything was wrong according to them from architecture to tech choices made... yet, the project was most successful within the company... these choices were made due to available talent and starting it with what people know....
