Would be even worse if they needed to fabricate an entirely new lower stage. Maybe they just need to launch even more rockets, failing faster and faster, to figure out the best way NOT to have orbital failures
Two Rocket Launches per Plane Launch would be an Awe-Inspiring strategy to achieve more rapid iteration!
- panick21_ 4y agoYeah the financials of falling fast don't really work out. You get a few tries but with that amount of cash burn if you don't have success you are in very deep shit. All these small launch companies are in deep shit, they raised a lot of money when the market was hot but they are all literally just burning cash like crazy and the market has proven to be way smaller then claimed. That is impossible with the plain they have. That would require a costume plane and then the finances of plane based launch makes even less sense. Also launching the plane isn't the constraint so this wouldn't actually improve their finances.
