Well in all fairness, GURPS games and OSR games are just very different games. Sure they're roughly "RPGs" where people roleplay as characters in a world with stats for structure, but their attitudes toward actions and conflict resolution are completely different which lends them to completely different gameplay and audiences. It's like saying Monopoly and Agricola are both board games. They are but they're also very different.
