I just don't loan money. If someone asks for a loan, I either give it to them outright, or I say no. Money I can't afford to give away is money I probably shouldn't be loaning out. Usually, people pay me back, and it's a nice treat. Sometimes, people don't, and because I wasn't expecting the money back, and wasn't counting on it, it's fine.
