My father taught me early on that lending a friend $20 was one of the cheapest ways to find out what kind of a friend you were actually dealing with. It's a valuable lesson, for sure.
- benmanns 4y agoI did a version of this in elementary through high school. Lend someone $1 for the vending machine today. If they blow off repaying you, don't lend them $5 for lunch tomorrow.
