HR Departments debate how to lay off workers

- JimtheCoder 4y agoDo HR departments actually make those decisions? I always assumed that this stuff was decided by the powers above, and HR just executed the plan... I guess I was wrong...
- mateo411 4y agoHR does the "how", this is the execution. It's important to do this right, so the company doesn't get sued. The powers above decide the "who".

- credit_guy 4y agoTrue story: a friend of mine was working at a program that was creating lists for layoffs (he was working at the same company as me, although in a different city. we went to the same college). At some point he himself got laid off. I never learned (and probably neither did he) if he was laid off by his own creation.
