Yes, argument by authority. Like it or not, this is actually a good way to learn things. Another thing informal fallacy citers always forget is that it's not a disproof of what is being said.
- Terretta 4y agoExcept the authority was wrong, and noted that a few hours later. See sibling comments. "I wouldn't have made the AI/web3 comparison. ... The two are, in fact, very much not the same." So if you learned it blindly you'd be wrong too.
