The other problem with JavaScript source is there no built in mechanism to explicitly declare language version. That would be the first step in letting browsers
be more intelligent, or rather less intelligent, about how to interpret the code.
With the complexities of being backwards compatible with all the ECMA in the wild, TypeScript could be the candidate language for this.
