- fwungy 4y agoI don't keep current tabs on modeling. There is plenty of active discussion of the problems with modeling in a academic literature, e.g. https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.1093/reep/rew012 https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.1093/reep/rew0... Modeling is a very useful and valuable tool but it's easily misused and manipulated, and policy decision makers generally do not understand it's frailties. As for BRI related issues this is good: https://thecradle.co/Article/Columns/20037 https://thecradle.co/Article/Columns/20037 If you listen to what the BRICS+ nations are discussing it's not COP and IPCC topics. There is a lot of dependence on petroleum both as an energy source and a revenue generator. They show no evidence of movement on zero carbon absent free money from the west.
