Show HN: Opencash - Win up to $10 million each year while investing in stocks
- neximo64 4y agoDoesn't academic literature suggest executing on venues where you get PFOF you get better prices. For a retail investor anyways.
- opencash 4y agoWhile PFOF may have some benefits, the process is not transparent and it creates a conflict of interest for the brokerage firm, since they are being paid by the market maker to send their clients’ orders to them. This can incentivize the firm to prioritize the interests of the market maker over the interests of their clients, which could result in the firm directing orders to market makers that may not offer the best price or execution quality for the client. This can ultimately lead to worse outcomes for investors, such as higher trading costs or reduced returns on their investments. We strongly support transparency during the trading process and prioritize our customers’ best interests above others. That's why we choose not to accept PFOF.
