Volunteers Seeking Revenge Against Russia Join the Fight in Ukraine
- bell-cot 4y agoKinda-critical point: The article is about volunteer units drawn from ethnic groups with (by their lights) long and bitter histories of being treated horribly by Russia. Even if zero of them ever violate orders / rules of engagement / laws of war / etc. in their behavior toward Russians - having them around is still politically tricky for Ukraine. Kiev doesn't want to hand Moscow any easy propaganda-war victories.
