I just sold my car. After 12 years or so I'm back to bikes and public transport. It was an interesting mental battle that took me about 8 months to win. And I'm a greenhearted leftist that votes for the Animal Party here in NL! The decision to move to carless is just really really hard. Even in a country that is so bike friendly. In the end, it's not about the bike, or the car. But the ideas that it represents: the illusions of freedom, choice, safety.
