- generalizations 4y agoThey were drawing a comparison. Overuse of antibiotics can lead to antibiotic resistance; and similarly, in some cases we get similar results with antivirals.
- vikramkr 4y agoSure, but an antiviral is not a vaccine, so I'm not sure what the comparison is there. And it's not like there's no technological path on the horizon to deal with Antibiotic resistance- its probably an underfunded area of research but the situation is very very far from apocalyptic. The bubonic plague was apocalyptic- but antibiotics are pretty effective against that
