The only images on the linked page are a PDP-11 console and a scott adams strip in the appendix. Neither the about page nor the main page have any images, either. What's your problem here, exactly?
- aliqot 4y agoWeird, because when I click the article in the OP I get an anime school girl across the entire page that does not go away when I scroll. My problem is browsing HN on www when I should have used gopher HN instead.
- lidavidm 4y agoIt's there on desktop, not on mobile. Not really a big deal IMO. (Also the blog subdomain is almost certainly a reference to Love Live - "nico nico nii~" or something like that is a catchphrase of one of the characters.) But yeah, I don't really get what the problem is...there's always reader mode, and it's not like they're dumping a ton of JavaScript on you!
- formerly_proven 4y agoAha, you weirdos are using light mode. That's why you see loli girls all over the place. /s (Seems like something about the site's CSS bugs out in dark mode, causing the image to not show up. Or maybe it's intentional because of bad transparency or something like that)
- aliqot 4y agoso, what's the problem here exactly, as you so eloquently asked?
