All my VM is spam now. I've told everyone I know (not many people!) that I hate VM, and don't usually answer it - certainly not promptly. I do usually check the missed-calls list, and call back. I never leave VM; I hang up when the robot starts talking. The point of a phone is immediate, synchronous, person-to-person voice communication. VM comprehensively defeats that. You might as well write a letter.
