I found a pretty good way around this: I use exchange and email myself the articles, usually over iphone share. That means i can go to my folder that i have dedicated "from me to me" and in there i can use full text search to satisfy the "damn, where have i read that again?" It's incomplete because stuff goes down all the time, but usually ill read the headline and be on my way to the original vendor docs anyway =)
