The history of deputy gangs in the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department

- egberts1 4y agoMmmmmm. Stopped reading after 3 riveting articles. While well-researched and well-prepared, author’s bias has gotten too blatant for my taste. Such a shame. Will try resuming again later.
- reillyse 4y agoI think it's probably quite difficult to report on this topic for very long without developing what appears to the rest of us like bias, but maybe is just the balanced way of approaching the situation. For example when you read the witness testimony from the county jails beatings it doesn't make you think that we should be taking the sheriff's word on anything. Literally 100s of individual accounts of people being tortured by their jailers. And everyone in law enforcement must know. This isn't something that you can not notice if your entire job is investigating crimes and your colleagues are the biggest perps.
