If you are a people person, being a cashier is fun. You talk to people all day. Don't get me wrong, it is a job so it has its minues. All jobs do. Salary is a big minus when compared to the tech industry but it's worth exploring as a second short term career.
It's interesting. If you aren't forced to choose it as a career then it's fun. Otherwise, it's a big drag and people can't wait to move on to something else.
- gcheong 4y agoOh yes, I did a stint as a cashier when I dropped out of college. It was why I dropped back in. I also worked as an usher at a performing arts center and between the two ushering was far more pleasant .
