I haven't decided on something final, but with the release of Dwarf Fortress on Steam I got inspired to try something similar - although obviously of massively more humbling scale. Basically, I want to implement an ant simulation, down to pheromones, etc. and if that goes well combine it with reinforcement learning. Less of a video game and more of a self running simulation, though. That, and actually get around to study more math and read more books and write my own horror and scifi short stories, that I have floating around in my head. Busy year.
