I don't understand why people give a shit. When did normies invade the spaces of these crazy intelligent lunatics? People purposely go play in filth then complain it's filthy.
- debacle 4y agoHi, so I looked at the links in the above post and while cartoony they are clearly not okay. It's not a "normie" take that we shouldn't sexualize children, even if they are animated.
- sergiotapia 4y agoIt's repugnant, absolutely. But why do you care what those creeps are doing with code? That's what I don't understand.
- dylan604 4y agoYou just described a large swath of anime. I worked for a company licensing anime content, and there were some shows that I felt like I needed a shower after having to work with the content. As the parent of a small child during that time, it was very disturbing. I did not last long working for that company, and is the shortest stint for a company on my resume.
- sillysaurusx 4y agoAre we looking at the same images? What’s sexual about https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Kahsolt/stable-diffusion-webui-sonar/main/img/ref.png https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Kahsolt/stable-diffusion-w... ? I was expecting some of the horrible stuff I’ve seen on 4chan, not something you might see in a mainstream (bad) anime. If anything, it looks like the AI cleaned it up and made it more presentable.
- numpad0 4y agoYeah, there's rarely the "disgusting child porn that sexualize minors" that people swear on bible to have seen it where they've seen it. It's always chalked up to "local cultural tolerances for molesting children" but ... almost feels like reading the SCP-040-JP creepypasta.
- shadowgovt 4y agoThe internet is for everyone now. Has been for awhile.
- Am4TIfIsER0ppos 4y agoAnd what a mistake that has been.
- charcircuit 4y agoBut that doesn't mean that the creator of this repo needs to bend the knee to other people's beliefs and morals about what he should or should not do in relation to running the project. It's like going to an artists twitter and then complaining that their art style is garbage and that they should change it. No one is forcing you to consume that person's content. Not all content on the internet needs to appeal to everyone even if everyone is on the internet.
- shadowgovt 4y agoIs the creator of this repo asking someone else to host the repo on their infrastructure? No one is forcing him to use GitHub.
- charcircuit 4y agoThat is GitHub's job to decide. I am not talking about what GitHub thinks of it, but with what third parties think of it.
- shadowgovt 4y agoGitHub has chosen to appeal to the centroid of its perceived potential userbase. That includes a certain amount of common-decency policing of content others choose to host on its service. They'd rather lose a few Automatic1111's than have schoolteachers telling students "Don't go on GitHub, it's not safe" (or having school administrations ban its use).
- numpad0 4y agoThese people are legit triggered. Not thinking in philosophical implications and the vast glorious millennia of history of the humanity in the past and future, but violently agitated and angry with almost physical pains coming up from deep down the center of their body. There really must be something in anime that swings a stinky rotten fish near the face where weebs don't have it, not just the face but maybe the body altogether.
