- simonblack 4y agoToo late. If the US wanted a 'guaranteed win', they should have initiated this Thucydides Trap War back in 2020. The US is no longer the US of 1942. That 'world manufacturer' position is now held by China. Today's US is much more like the Germany or Japan of 1942.
- amalgamated_inc 4y agoDisagree. China is a house of cards, a paper tiger. They've been in a downward spiral ever since Xi took over. That's why I think they'll attack Taiwan sooner rather than later, it'll be impossible in 10 years and it'll be obvious.
