The same reason why my clothes are utilitarian and I can just about cook cereal. I don't care. Now, in my defence I don't go around belittling the arts of cooking and fashion. They are fully justified endeavours. I just choose not to indulge in them, I hone the mind instead. Of course, one might say that eating and dressing will is beneficial on several levels, but fashion is whimsical. People come and go. Only intellect remains. Or so I tell myself.
