I don’t know, I’m more concerned with the effect that art has on me than the motivations of the artist (though those can be interesting of course). For instance I read The Fountainhead as a youth and was moved by it for purely personal (non-political) reasons, and with regards to that experience it doesn’t matter to me what Ayn Rand was on about.
