This model was flawed anyway. Why give away free information in the hopes someone will maybe click an ad or buy through some of your affiliate links? You work hard to publish useful info but someone steals it or people just find it and use it without credit or monetary compensation for you. Amazon now is in a good position to grow their books catalogue a lot. They do protect the copyright of their authors religiously. You can't publish books on Amazon with text that is already on the Internet. Neither can you publish text that is already available in another book on Amazon.
