- ryandrake 4y agoYea, this was surprisingly thick and decadent sarcasm. I loved it! I read: > “That’s so cheems mindset,” says the woman he’s talking to. Her nametag says ‘Astra’, although you don’t know if that’s her real name, her Internet handle, or her startup. ...and I knew I had to stop what I was doing and finish the read. The other two "house party" links [1] [2] were equally rich. 1: https://astralcodexten.substack.com/p/every-bay-area-house-party https://astralcodexten.substack.com/p/every-bay-area-house-p... 2: https://astralcodexten.substack.com/p/another-bay-area-house-party https://astralcodexten.substack.com/p/another-bay-area-house...

- badcppdev 4y agoThank you for that: > “I quit my job at Google a few months ago to work on effective altruism. I’m studying sn-risks.” > “I can’t remember, which ones are sn-risks?” > “Steppe nomads. Horse archers. The Eurasian hordes.” > “I didn’t think they were still a problem.”
