- theamk 4y agoA single person which made from what it looks like a single ionocraft / ion lifter model that is powerful enough to lift itself and its own power supply. The flight time is not stated directly, but Exploradio link mentions "30 seconds with old batteries" and "2 minutes". Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@KraussEMUS1 https://www.youtube.com/@KraussEMUS1) shows barely controlled flight in indoor conditions, and given apparent area-to-weight ratio of the device, I have doubts if it ever be usable outdoor if any wind is present. I first read about ion lifters as a child, and it seemed really magical. I keep hoping for a nice ion lifter ever since.. but I don't think that person is going to make one.
