The oppressive heat every day of the year is far worse imo, but definitely to each their own!
- mikedelago 4y agoAbsolutely, the heat here is simply awful. Can't go outside without constantly sweating.
- prottog 4y agoIndeed, to each their own, but certainly by any reasonable standard there are a few very pleasant months out of the year in Tampa.
- andrew_ 4y agos/pleasant/unpleasant If that's your position, I wouldn't call it reasonable. Central Florida is paradise. As they say, if you can't take the heat...
- prottog 4y agoYou might have misread me -- I was responding to the GP's no doubt exaggerated comment about Tampa being oppressively hot every single day of the year, with the opinion that even people who may not enjoy warm weather would nonetheless find the winter months to be pleasant.
- Sebguer 4y agoIt's pretty oppressive at least 9 months of the year, though I'll grant you that 'every single day' is hyperbole. That said, I'm not super heat-tolerant, and definitely prefer the cold! I also like walking a lot more than driving, so spent a lot more time walking around than the average Tampan, I guess? (Though maybe not anymore now that downtown's been revived!)
