The tarnished Microsoft brand is exactly why it's the "Nokia Lumia", not the "Microsoft Lumia". Assuming Microsoft do buy Nokia, as many people have speculated, I'm pretty sure they'd retain the Nokia brand for all mobile phone hardware.
