Well... no? This feels like a restatement of the common "no more toil!" attitude VC-seeking futurists with no real skills fucking love but can never deliver on, and it's also totally inapplicable here.
Washing dishes is two (or more) person activity. It's a prototypical example of a couple working together or a parent working with a child, together in a shared living space and negotiating or demonstrating how that space is put together. It can be quiet or loud or a simple conversation. It's "mindless", and I've worked through a lot of hard things while cleaning my kitchen - probably rivaled only by the shower. It's certainly a space that easily admits singing!
But I'm sure your smart dishwasher and chips in dishes will "optimize" out this part of our human lives too. Or at least sell information on my diet back to my health insurance company with you pocketing 90% of the gains! Not to mention the sustainability of everyone buying a ton of robots and new dishes!

- marcocleos 4y agoThis post was just an exploration of how dishwashing was in the past and how it might be in the future, it wasn’t meant to sell you anything :) By the way, wouldn’t be nicer if the couple or the parent with the children make a painting or play a song instead of washing the dishes? About the doubts on the sustainability of domestic robots or new dishes I agree but I don’t see a big difference with the sustainability of actual dishwashers, maybe there are cleaner solutions.
- morelisp 4y agoIt wasn't an "exploration" of shit, you copied someone else's SE answer and took out a lot of the interesting parts. > By the way, wouldn’t be nicer if the couple or the parent with the children make a painting or play a song instead of washing the dishes? No! Fuck! Make an argument, not a statement! > 2 meals per day... average 10 minutes of dishwashing time... 8 billion people in the world... 20 billions hours every day washing dishes! And stop using GPT for your arithmetic, dumbass.
