Every time I see someone reassuring themselves in this way I fret even harder about what is soon to come.
Let me ask you: If you had to teach someone who didn't know how to do what you do, would you be able to do so with language and visual demonstrations? Partializing the ultimate output with various steps that have varied contexts and phases of state is absolutely not outside the reach of machine learning.
Better and more appropriate to think in terms of what it doesn't do yet. And bear in mind that its time as mere assistant is determined in part by how well it is taught. If I was a PE fund steering manager I would be acquiring every design firm with good data practices. Places like GetDevDone [formerly psd2html][0] and Design Pickle[1] would be good acquisition targets from the top of my head. Adobe has a huge advantage here with Figma.
It's only a matter of time before the tooling to partialize and perfect every aspect of information work is cheaply in the hands of people who used to outsource with humans.
