Same problem here in Australia, but honestly I don't blame the students - unis have turned themselves into businesses selling a service, students are just responding to that. And if I'm paying for a course, and I do all the coursework and make a reasonable good faith attempt at the assessment, I think it's reasonable to expect I'll pass. If the content was too hard for a significant portion of students are those student getting anything for their money?
- was_a_dev 4y agoGrade inflation is never the fault of students as they don't set the conditions of the course. They merely participate
- aidenn0 4y agoWhile I agree it's not their "fault," they pick which schools to go to and which classes to take, so it's not correct to say that they "merely participate"
- was_a_dev 4y agoAll universities in the UK operate under the same conditions. The choice of the student makes little difference. Other countries may differ
