Ask HN: Create Videos from Your Screenshots
Laurent here: I’m building a web app that helps you create beautiful videos from a screenshot or PDF.
Because I noticed the most engaging posts on social media often involve a video with smooth motion.
Would you use this for work or social media?
I’ve put together a landing page with sample videos generated by the tool, see https://screenrun.app/ https://screenrun.app/
- Turing_Machine 4y agoThink about how you'd differentiate this from applications like Adobe Captivate and Camtasia (and others). Now, those do a lot of stuff besides basic screen capture and annotation, but they're also pretty expensive and complex to use. IMO, low-cost and simple might be one way to go.
- ldenoue 4y agoYes striving for a really simple tool that does one thing. But I had to add some basic options like dwell and transition times.
- yef 4y agoI like it but the spring animations on the demo page feel a little jarring to me.
- ldenoue 4y agoYea I now added options in the studio to disable the bouncing effects.
- KomoD 4y agoThat feels weird, unnatural.
