- andrewfromx 4y agoI was just noticing this at Starbucks this morning. The physically printed wrappers the food items are placed in had (c) 2018 on them and I started thinking what is the real risk here for Starbucks? That someone will steal their logo and print their own food wrappers in 2023 and the 5 year delta will be a legal win?
- lesserknowndan 4y agoEither this article misunderstands copyright or I do. My understanding is that you only should change the copyright footer of a website when you change the content and therefore have created a new copyrightable artefact. Similarly, Starbucks only need to update the date on their cup if they have updated the design of a new cup.
