US-China chip war puts global enterprises in the crosshairs
- sylware 4y agoHopefully, we can get a significant amount of 3nm chips out of taiwan foundry before china invades "à la putin's regime". This is irony, since it does not matter: lives and freedom first.
- aurizon 4y agoChina recently spouted it had solved deep UV litho, in essence copying what ASML has spent years and $billions optimising. Once China ships chips/equipment that infringes this IP, I expect border interdictions in many countries - there may be a total ban or there may be a fee payable on a case by case basis = huge delays and even complete bans on importation. China will discover the long global reach of IP laws. Sure they can sell to Upper Slobbovia(Russia) - LOL
