Replit for Startups
Curious to know if anyone is using Replit as their main IDE/production code for their startup?
- gabrielsroka 4y agoI like using replit as a toy, but it's got so many bugs and quirks and sharp edges, I can't imagine using it as my everyday IDE. I'm hoping it'll get more robust over time.
- juancruizc 4y agoIt’s increasingly become pretty reliable for me very recently, what kind of bugs are you experiencing that are stopping you from healing the jump?
- gabrielsroka 4y agoToo many to mention. I renamed a variable, but it renamed a string. It disconnects all the time. It lost my shell history. I copied a file but then it disappeared. Etc, etc. I discover them as I go along. It's a toy.
- cwaffles 4y agoNot sure what is the advantage relative to GitHub codespaces?
- juancruizc 4y agoCommunity is much better, cheaper, near on-demand contractors built in, AI coding tools much better, could go on and on :)
- stevekemp 4y agoWeren't they the company threatening an ex-intern for replicating some similar work? It's been a while, but it left a negative impression at the time.
