I’ve been using Kagi as pretty much only search engine on desktop for several months and I’m happy as well. This is how paid versions of free services should be. Time is valuable and I’m easily distracted - one interesting ad/link/snippet can take me to a rabbit hole. With Kagi my feeling is that there’s less of these distractions. This is also something I dislike on YouTube. I pay to get rid of ads, but still they employ the usual trickery to keep me on the site as long as possible.
