Arrest made in killings of 4 Idaho college students
- John23832 4y agoNot to be insensitive, but it always interested me that idea of serial-killers/murders (or better put methodical killers or spree killers), abruptly stopped at the end of the 80's and early 90's. They were such a cultural phenomena during their time. I'm sure the human nature that drove those things hasn't stopped... if anything it's probably gotten worse with the advent of the internet.
- speed_spread 4y ago(Not to be insensitive either; sarcasm trigger warning) My theory is that it's been mostly replaced in media by the mass-murder/suicide. It's instant, stateless, does not warrant looking for clues and can be blamed on whatever suits the current agenda. Who has time for a killing spree lasting for weeks nowadays?
