Edit The paid Beta.Openai.com version is good at convincing us it is making external calls but it doesn’t. Trying to figure out a way to ensure a service I am paying good pennies for is actually making http calls to answer questions. So far no luck.

      I was told the OpenAI playground could connect to the internet but my source must have been misinformed. Thanks for clarifying.

        It’s a giant language model. There’s no known technique for doing something like you’re requesting currently.

  Marketwatch says price is $6.825/bu and response time is so fast I doubt it made any http calls to those sources

I'd imagine the only way to really be sure is to monitor network traffic. Or have the API call return something unknowable without the API.
