collecting all of that data and sending it over the wire to an application where it will be deserialized when you only need 1-2 fields for the lifetime of the connection is just waste.

- yakshaving_jgt 4y agoThe word "smaller" can take different meanings, depending on the context. This is implied by the content of the article. Your proposed solution is perfectly reasonable, but it is orthogonal to the topic in the article.
