Andrew Tate: influencer detained in Romania on organised crime and rape charges
- glandium 4y agoFun fact: the Romanian police allegedly figured out he was in Romania from the video response Tate did to Greta Thumberg's response to his tweet, because the video featured a pizza box from a Romanian pizza chain.
- jaclaz 4y agoAllow me to doubt that. According to Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Tate#2022_sex_trafficking_investigation_and_arrest https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Tate#2022_sex_trafficki... he had already been arrested in April, and it is more likely that the Romanian Police have other means to find out his location, or they simply entered his villa and found him there.
- glandium 4y agoBut he's not constantly in Romania. Like, he was in the UK recently, with Piers Morgan. My source, FWIW: https://mobile.twitter.com/Esqueer_/status/1608580052220014592 https://mobile.twitter.com/Esqueer_/status/16085800522200145...
- jaclaz 4y agoSure, but my skepticism is only about the fact that the Romanian Police got the info analysing the twitter video, as said they should have better means to know if someone is or is not in the country, particularly if already subject of an investigation.
- jaclaz 4y agoAnother skeptic (only for the record): https://www.calmdownben.com/p/romanian-cops-did-not-find-andrew https://www.calmdownben.com/p/romanian-cops-did-not-find-and... it seems like the only source for the pizza box thingy is this tweet by Alejandra Caraballo (and her source is not clear at all).
- dieselgate 4y agoWow didn't know he had a brother, let alone one that is seemingly closely involved with the antics. The thread with Greta on twitter makes him look like such a "rude and unintelligent" person. Have only heard about this guy through coffeezilla so would recommend anyone not familiar with Tate start there
- amar-laksh 4y agoI am seriously wondering what all of this is doing to twitter servers right now.
