recycled cotton seems to be lower quality. I wonder what consumer products would be popular for the recycled fabrics. (rags, cotton polyester socks?)
some cotton candy would be good right around now.
- wolfi1 4y agoit seems to be spun with longer fibers, so 100% recycled cotton seems not achievable, at least not mechanically recycled fiber
- opensores 4y ago100% cotton isn't really needed as far as fabrics. I actually like that there often is a little polyester mixed in. 10%-40% poly, and most of the remainder in cotton is perfect for socks. As far as socks, these are now often almost 100% polyester, with no cotton; and while they work, they're not nearly as nice as socks with at least 50% cotton. Cotton soaks up a lot more moisture, which is usually a good thing. Poly is lighter, and any moist spandex socks dry faster. The hybrid of poly, spandex, cotton is very nice when done in good ratios.
