Show HN: Logos Created with AI
- amalgamated_inc 4y agoThe example logos look cool! Would be neat if I could generate a few previews, maybe in bad resolution/with watermark, and then pay for the real deal?
- beechwood 4y agoYes, I like your suggestion. I'm also working on a marketplace so people can see what the logo looks like before purchasing.
- beechwood 4y agoHello everyone. I've been working on this for a couple of weeks and wanted to share. Creating logos for my side projects has always been a pain, it usually consists of a font awesome icon or something hacked together in powerpoint. I thought it would be cool to scratch my own itch but also play around with a super cool technology at the same time. It's pretty straightforward...provide a few details about your business/company and let the robots do the rest.
- version_five 4y agoThis isn't really a Show HN, it's a paid service. "Let the robots do the work" isn't really satisfying and isn't in the spirit of show HN posts. It would be more interesting to see something about the workflow you have for generating the logos, and maybe the economics of it. As is, unless I missed it, there isn't really any content for people to engage with, only the option to buy a logo. I actually think it's a cool idea, and am curious how automated you are able to make the process
- gardenhedge 4y agoShow HN is to show off stuff you've worked on. In this case it's paid but that is not against the rules.
- beechwood 4y agoThanks for the feedback. Right now I have the prompt generation 90% automated. There is also some post-processing I'd like to automate as well (AI sometimes comes up with some wacky results).
- s-xyz 4y agoGood use case, like the idea
- beechwood 4y agoThank you, I appreciate it.
- ezekg 4y agoI'm assuming logos are delivered as a JPEG? What resolution?
- beechwood 4y agoThey are delivered as a png with transparent background. 1024x1024
- longbilly 4y agoNo terms of service or Privacy policy? I also noticed there's no license from the AI that your using, most if not all of the ones ive seen have a provision that a copy of their license must be provided to the users, as well as some other stuff such as restrictions[0] Also from the FAQ: "Q. Can I use my logo for commercial purposes? A. Yes, all of the logos generated by LogoCreatorAI are yours to use as you see fit. You can use them for commercial purposes, such as on your website, business cards, and other marketing materials. You may also resell them." Nothing here or anywhere else explicitly says that the logo I receive is unique or that you yourself dont retain rights to the generated image once the transaction is done. - beechwood 4y agoIs this a weird way of asking me what AI model I'm using?
- longbilly 4y agoNo, I honestly am not really interested. You could be making these with Waifu Diffusion for all I care. I just like to see OSS license terms being respected. Im not accusing you of anything here either, maybe your using something without these restrictions. Just some observations that I would expect to find in a paid service, especially the ToS part.
- beechwood 4y agoOk, fair enough. I do have terms on other side projects of mine so it makes sense and is the right thing to do. I'll get some terms added. Thank you for the feedback.
