Netgear warns users to patch recently fixed WiFi router bug
- autoexec 4y agoNetgear has been a brand I've avoided for a while. Tons of security issues that should never have happened like hardcoded passwords and IPs, plus they're okay with infesting their products with ads (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Wi-Fi-5-AC-Routers/Updated-my-firmware-now-I-have-ads-all-my-router-interface/td-p/2045733 https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Wi-Fi-5-AC-Router...) and they collect "analytics" like what devices you have connected, your IPs and MAC addresses, etc.
