Saying goodbye to Tokyo's tiniest shop in Akihabara
- hilbert42 4y agoWhat a shame but no doubt another trader will quickly fill the space. I love Akihabara, almost literally I've had to be dragged away from the place. Electronic goodies of just about every conceivable type can be bought there, many of which I've never seen for sale anywhere else. For techies and nerds who've never been there I'd highly recommend a visit if you ever get the chance.
- rasz 4y agoIf you ever want to see when some PC product really entered market (not always respecting official release dates, sometimes earlier, sometimes paper launches), what was popular, period correct prices or availability between 1998-2009 this link is for you https://akiba-pc.watch.impress.co.jp/hotline/backnum.html https://akiba-pc.watch.impress.co.jp/hotline/backnum.html (google translate works great on that link) Japanese nerd/reporter was visiting Akihabara every single week and blogging detailed reports of new products, availability, price lists, hot sellers etc, all including pictures of products/shops.
